President Signs FY 2009 Supplemental Appropriations Bill into Law
On June 24, 2009, the President signed into law H.R. 2346, the fiscal year 2009 supplemental appropriations bill (Public Law 111-032).
House Passes Clean Energy Bill
On June 26, 2009, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, by a vote of 219 to 212.
FY 2010 Commerce Appropriations Bill Reported by Senate Committee
On June 25, 2009, the Senate Appropriations Committee reported H.R. 2847, a bill that would make appropriations for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, and Science, and Related Agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, with an amendment in the nature of a substitute. (S. Rept. No. 111-34).
FY 2010 State Dept Appropriations Bill Report Filed in House
The House Appropriations Committee has filed a report for H.R. 3081, a bill that would make appropriations for the Department of State, foreign operations, and related programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010 (H. Rept. 111-187).
Senate to Consider FY 2010 DHS Appropriations Beginning July 7th
On June 25, 2009, the Senate reached a unanimous consent agreement providing that the Senate would begin consideration of the H.R. 2892, the House's FY 2010 DHS appropriations bill on July 7, 2009. (The House passed H.R. 2892 on June 24, 2009.)
Trade Advisory Committee House Hearing Rescheduled
The House Ways and Means Committee's Trade Subcommittee has rescheduled its hearing on how the system of trade advisory committees is functioning, and on how to increase transparency and public participation in the development of U.S. trade policy for July 21, 2009. (This hearing was previously scheduled for June 25, 2009. See ITT's Online Archives or 06/19/09 news, 09061970, for BP summary announcing the previous date for the hearing.)
