BIS Adds Additional Entity as China VEU

The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued a final rule, effective January 15, 2010, which amends the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to add an entity and identify its respective eligible items for export and reexport and transfer (in-country) under Authorization Validated End-User (VEU) in China.

BIS notes that with the publication of this final rule, the total number of validated end-users in China is six, and the total number of eligible facilities in China is sixteen.

Grace Semidconductor Added to VEU List

This final rule amends Supplement No. 7 to 15 CFR Part 748 to add Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation in China as a VEU and includes the following facility name and address under "Eligible Destination:"

BIS' final rule also amends Supplement No. 7 to 15 CFR Part 748 to include the following Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) that may be exported, reexported or transferred to Grace Semiconductor under Authorization VEU1:
