Trade-Related Bills, Resolutions Introduced on Feb 8

On February 8, 2011, the following trade-related bills were introduced:

ATPA, GSP extension. A bill to extend trade adjustment assistance and certain trade preference programs, and for other purposes (S. 308)
NTR for Moldova. A bill to authorize the extension of nondiscriminatory treatment (normal trade relations treatment) to the products of Moldova (S. 309)
Genetically engineered fish. A bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require labeling of genetically engineered fish (H.R. 520)
Genetically engineered fish. A bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prevent the approval of genetically engineered fish (H.R. 521)
Fee on imports/exports. A bill to direct the Secretary of Transportation to establish and collect a fee based on the fair market value of articles imported into the U.S. and articles exported from the U.S. in commerce and to use amounts collected from the fee to make grants to carry out certain transportation projects in the transportation trade corridors for which the fee is collected, and for other purposes (H.R. 526)
Impact of rules on small businesses. A bill to amend chapter 6 of title 5, U.S. Code (commonly known as the Regulatory Flexibility Act), to ensure complete analysis of potential impacts on small entities of rules, and for other purposes (H.R. 527)
NTR withdrawal. A bill to withdraw normal trade relations treatment from the products of foreign countries that do not maintain acceptable standards of religious freedom and worker rights (H.R. 554)
Coastwise trade. A bill to authorize issuance of certificates of documentation authorizing certain vessels to engage in coastwise trade in the carriage of natural gas, and for other purposes (H.R. 563)
20% spending reduction. Concurrent resolution expressing the sense of the Congress that non-defense, non-security, non-veterans discretionary spending should be reduced by 20 percent (H. Con. Res. 14)
Regulatory review. A resolution directing certain standing committees to inventory and review existing, pending, and proposed regulations and orders from agencies of the Federal Government, particularly with respect to their effect on jobs and economic growth (H. Res. 72)
