The following lawsuits were filed at the Court of International Trade during the week of July 28 - Aug. 3:

Tech Blend S.E.C. challenging CBP's denial of a protest of the classification of "black concentrates." CBP classified the dyes in HTS subheading 3206.49.10 (5.9%). Tech Blend said the dyes should have been eligible for duty free treatment as NAFTA originating, or should have been classified under 3206.49.40 (free). Summons filed July 28.
Kidkraft, LP challenging CBP's denial of a protest on whether its "Let's Play Dress-Up Units" are subject to antidumping duties on wooden bedroom furniture from China at 216.01%. Kidkraft said CBP should not have found the "dress-up units" to be "wardrobes" subject to the order. Summons filed July 28.
Fresh Garlic Producers Association (domestic industry) challenging the Commerce Department's final results of antidumping duty administrative review on fresh garlic from China. Summons filed July 29.
Fashioncraft-Excello, Inc. challenging CBP's denial of a protest of the classification of various jars, other glassware and metal parts" CBP classified the articles as table and other glassware under heading 7013 (22.5%/30%/38%). Fasgioncraft said the jar should have been classified as jars under heading 7010 (free) and metal ornaments under heading 8306 (free). Summons filed July 30.
GD Affiliates/Golden Dragon (foreign exporter) challenging the Commerce Department's final results of antidumping administrative review on seamless refined copper pipe and tube from Mexico. Summons filed July 30.
Tianjin Wanhua (foreign exporter) challenging the Commerce Department's final results of antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip from China for the period 11/01/11 - 10/31/12). Summons filed July 30.
Shaoxing Xiangyu Green Packing (foreign exporter) challenging the Commerce Department's final results of antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip from China for the period 11/01/11 - 10/31/12). Summons filed July 30.
Pacific World Corporation challenging CBP's denial of a protest for the classification of "artificial nails, including artificial nail kits". CBP classified the artificial nails under subheading 3926.40.0000 (5.3%). Pacific World said they should have been classified under subheading 3304.30.0000 (free). Summons filed Aug. 1.
S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. challenging CBP Long Beach's denial of a protest of the classification of "plastic sandwich bags". CBP classified the bags under subheading 3923.21.0030 (3%). S.C. Johnson said the bags should have been classified under subheading 3924.90.5650 and eligible for duty free treatment under the Generalized System of Preferences. Summons filed Aug. 1.
