Canadian Government Notices for Nov. 2

The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices for Nov. 2 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

• FCC to waive its Form 740 certification requirements. Canadian companies who export goods requiring a FCC 740 Form will no longer be required to do so until December 31, 2016. The FCC made this temporary waiver due to the CPB Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) which becomes mandatory for FCC entries on July 1, 2016. (here)
• Refined sugar decision. The CITT has found that dumping and subsidizing of refined sugar originating in or exported from United States, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the European Union will likely result in injury. The CBSA will therefore continue to impose and collect anti-dumping and countervailing duties on this product. (here)
• Product Recalls. Certain propane gas sold in Saskatchewan and Manitoba lacks required odor additive and may pose safety risk which was manufactured in Calgary, Alberta. (here)
