CBP Will Undertake Third Attempt to Deploy Section 321 Enhancement

CBP will try again to deploy the second release of the Section 321 -- Does Not Exceed $800 in Aggregated Shipments enhancement in ACE on Jan. 18, according to a cargo systems message.

The agency had sought to deploy the enhancement last weekend but stopped the procedure after it encountered a programming issue (see 2501130004). Another abortive attempt followed on Jan. 14.

CBP says the enhancement "will provide a warning in ACE when a de minimis shipment may exceed the $800 per person/per day threshold." The release will include electronic data interchange impacts.

CBP will offer post-deployment support via Microsoft Teams on Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. EST.
