OFAC Revises, Begins Winding Down Houthi-Related General Licenses

The Office of Foreign Assets Control last week updated several general licenses related to the Yemen-based Houthis, also known as Ansarallah, the group designated by the Trump administration as a foreign terrorist organization (see 2503040008).

OFAC updated three general licenses to authorize certain transactions involving the group under the Foreign Terrorist Organizations Sanctions Regulations: agricultural commodities, medicine and medical devices in GL 22A; noncommercial, personal remittances in GL 24A; and third-country diplomatic missions in GL 28A.
