Today is my last day with the U.S. Department of Commerce. It has been a dynamic time working to advance economic and national security through data-driven supply chain and geopolitical risk analysis. More importantly, it has been deeply inspiring and reassuring to get to know so many brilliant and dedicated people whose hard work powers our institutions every day. In early March, I will begin a new role in the private sector at a boutique advisory firm focused on geopolitics and technology. I will continue to be based in D.C. and hope to stay in touch on all things tech and trade, from export controls and AI to investment screening and supply chain dynamics. In the words of a beloved colleague, “Onwards!”
Congrats on your new job! I’m sure you’ll be missed. All the best for your next career chapter, Susan
Best wishes for what’s next, Emily. Thank you for your service!
